And So This Is Christmas...

Christmas 2013 has now come and gone.  It seems the anticipation grows greater each year as the kids get older.  Max started asking weeks in advance if it was the night Santa was going to come.  You can imagine his excitement when we finally said "yes!"

The one thing that always kind of makes me sad is how quickly the season passes.  You look forward to the gatherings and festivities for weeks, and before you know it, it is over.  However, I'm so thankful for the memories that were made, the time spent with family, and the laughter and smiles that were on my kids' faces the whole time (well, except for a few "kid" moments here and there!).

For me, family time has always been the highlight of the holidays and this year was no exception.  We're so fortunate to be close to both of our families.  The kids just love all of their cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents so much--and seeing them bond and interact is the best.  They are so blessed with the number of people who love them and I truly hope that as they grow-up, they'll also grow to cherish the time spent and memories made with family.

Here's a small sampling of the Christmas festivities at our house this year!!

The First One

Blogging is something I've wanted to pursue for quite a while.  I feel like these days life is passing by in the blink of an eye and I want to capture as much of it as I can, in as many ways possible.  Hopefully someday, I'll be able to look back on my thoughts and life's happenings and not only be thankful for the memories I've been blessed with but also for having written them down--mom brain is the worst when it comes to forgetting what happened even a few hours ago!

So, here's to new beginnings!
